Political persuasions

What do I say ?
I used to be apolitical but leaning toward the centre I guess, so naturally I was once one of these so called 'floating voters', too busy in the 'real world' to bother my arse about politics and even sometimes voting.
I watched Labour in the 70's and like many others at the time, said that's it, no more, get rid of the clowns, and grab on to Maggie who like my mum could run the country blindfold, one arm behind her back, whilst beating off the enemy from outside and in. I suppose I felt 'safer' with Maggie because at least you knew what you were getting.

Maggie was a person who knew where she and our country were heading and if you didn't like it, well you could 'get on your bike'. Plain speaking never really did me much harm as long as I knew it was truth I was hearing, so I supported and still do support Maggie.
